Medicare Supplement Plan N 2020
If the higher coverage Medicare Supplements Plan G and Plan F are too expensive for you or just cover too many healthcare services and expenses that don’t apply to you, it may be better for you to look at one of the less popular plans. Medicare Supplement Plan N 2020 is still pretty popular, but not nearly as much as those other two. Still, it offers some incredible value to anyone who could use its robust coverage.
We recommend Plan N to many seniors, as it offers a powerful coverage but doesn’t have much of the fluff and unnecessary bits of coverage of some of the competing plans. We think it will give many seniors the money-saving value that they are looking for out of a Medicare Supplement plan.
Covered under Plan N
We want to start off by looking at the kinds of medical expenses you can expect to have covered with Plan N taking care of you. This is a high coverage plan, so the coverage is extensive, but it definitely does not cover everything. You will have some out-of-pocket expenses related to supplementary expenses, even if you are in fairly good health.
Plan N does manage to cover most of what is considered essential or very common for the majority of seniors. That would be all of the copayments for the various parts of Medicare. So, your regular expenses of Medicare Part A and Part B copayments are covered under Plan N. It does leave some of the smaller costs related to Part B copayments there for you to pay, but these will never cost you more than $50 per visit. It also covers you for the rest of your blood you use each year that isn’t covered already by Original Medicare. Keep in mind that you will need an Original Medicare plan in order for the Supplement Plan N to be valid and active.
With Plan N, you also get coverage for Medicare Part A’s hospice coinsurance, which covers most of your remaining hospice care expenses that Original Medicare does not. Plan N additionally covers you for Medicare Part A’s deductible, but it will not cover the Part B deductible. These are annual expenses, so they aren’t that common, and the Part B one is only $185. The Part A deductible is every bit as common, but it is a lot more expensive, so you definitely benefit from having it covered for you.
Plan N will also take care of the cost of nursing care coinsurance and foreign travel exchange, covering those expenses as much as any of the high end Supplement plans.
This is Plan N’s coverage, and as you can see, it is pretty extensive. We suggest looking at this coverage and seeing what will apply to you. It’s okay if it covers some things that you have never had to pay out of pocket before. This could still be applicable to you, because it provides peace of mind and can take care of unexpected medical expenses that often occur for seniors. Remember that as you grow older you will be more and more likely to experience new medical problems or healthcare needs that you never did before. It can be very helpful to have something like Medicare Supplement Plan N 2020 covering those for you.
What Will You Pay for Plan N?
The cost of this Supplement plan is what really sets it apart from a lot of the others. It is often competitively priced, and that’s because it is not the most popular plan. Hoping to garner some extra interest and more subscribers for Plan N, many insurance companies will charge a considerably lower price for it than they would for the slightly higher coverage Plan G. This means that Plan N tends to offer more value, even if it does not cover as much as Plan G. That’s something to consider as you look for the most economical choice. Be sure to compare the coverage on those plans and the cost for each of them. You can do that with our website.

It is in your best interests to source as many Plan N quotes as possible and then to compare them to find the cheapest one.
Plan N is available to any senior who is 65 or older and who has a valid Original Medicare plan. You are allowed to sign up for Plan N or another Supplement plan without Original Medicare, but the coverage will not be active and valid until your Original Medicare plan is active and valid.
